Seeking leaves!

What kind of leave is this?

It was a little difficult this morning going to school after this vacation. (I like school but I don’t always like the big parts of homework!) We started directly doing arithmetic and grammar. But we also had drama today… that’s nice! Someone got a card on which was written an assignment, he or she had to make clear without speaking, just use your hands and body, what was written on the card. I got an easy one, on my card was written “Waiting for an occupied toilet” That wasn’t so difficult…. I trampled my feet on the ground with my hands between my legs. The kids guessed it almost at once.

After school Mark and I went seeking for leaves, for the assignment of school we have to make a herbarium of leaves. Dried leaves we have to stick on a piece of paper and the name of the leave written on it. We have to have a maple, a chestnut, a poplar, an oak and a plane tree and when you want to earn a bonus you’ll have to have a “blongo (?)” I don’t know what that is I’ll have to ask de teacher tomorrow..

This evening bowling was great, I threw great balls. I made an appointment with my teammate for tomorrow for an extra training and he has a bowling ball for me that he wants to show me…mmm… I’m very curious what that will be…

Is this a maple?

On our way home we went through our village to see in the Chestnut lane and the maple street if the were Chestnut trees and maple trees but there weren’t. We searched in other streets and we found a lot of leaves… so I guess I have enough now.. Dad said that in front of the place he works there is a popular tree so he will see tomorrow if there are some fine leaves for me…

So we searched and searched …it was hard to find all the leaves…I’ll hope I wouldn’t dream of searching for leaves to night ….ha..haa …haaa… I’ll go to bed now… bye … see you tomorrow!

Aunt Suus from Canada

Aunt Suus and me in the garden.

Today I played outside all day! This morning I woke op very early, I think it was because the clock went back 1 hour (end of the summertime). This morning I called Mark to ask if he wanted to play at the hut we are building in the trees a few blocks from here.
After a while Jasper, Patrick and Justin also came to play and built on the hut. Together we put on the second part of the roof. Wooouwww. It’s so cool now!

Aunt Suus and Grandma

This afternoon grandpa and grandma and aunt Suus from Canada came over. Aunt Suus brought me all kinds off presents! A great cap with the maple leaf from Canada on it, that’s so vet cool man! She also brought me a Beanie Dog, called Odie, man he is so soft and nice, I always like that kind of stuffed animals. (when we go to Artis, the zoo in Amsterdam, I always have to see what kinds of new stuffed animals they have)
Aunt Suus thanks again for the great presents, they are really cool!

Playing with Timmie….

This evening I played with Timmie in the living room, he also liked Beanie Odie a lot, see the picture! He constantly had to smell on Odie.. was so nice to see..

So it’s late already and I have to get up early tomorrow, the holidays are over and tomorrow it’s school time again … I’ll go upstairs …bye see you tomorrow!

Hunting for christmas lights!

Picture: Garden centre Praxis Westpoort (not very far from our home)

The bowling was cool this morning! In the first game a broke my record again with 15 points! After the first game we played a little game, boys against girls. They made teams of 5 boys and 5 girls and we all had to threw 1 time and all the points were counted together. The boys were better than the girls and got more points, but we lost all the games because the girls got a handicap of 20 points (because we are better and the changes must be equal) I think it’s strange, so we can never win….

After the bowling we went to Zaandam to Hornbach ( a big store were they sell garden stuff) to buy more Christmas lights now for the washtub in the garden, so it will light up nicely in the garden when it’s dark.
We found a very cool light they twinkle, that’s so cool! They also sell great Christmas houses with light in it and al sorts of lights to decorate the garden with.

On our way home we stopped at an other garden store because Mom wants an other garden light but the did not have what Mom wants…
At that store there was a pool table and I played a little game with some boys there…greate game ( see the picture above!)

When we got home I helped Mom by putting the lights in the washtub where the calabashes are in. It looks great in the dark!

Now I’ll go upstairs …..its late ….tomorrow my aunt Suus from Canada will come and visit us….

Bye .. see you tomorrow!

Back home again!

Yesterday we rented a bike to explore the surroundings.. the picture shows the way to the woods.

Picture: calabashes for sale just along the street at a farmer’s house.

Yesterday we went to look for pumpkins and calabashes in our neighborhood. Many farmers were selling those things along the road in buckets and boxes and prices where on every piece. Next to the buckets and boxes there mostly was a little box where you have to put the money in. We couldn’t get the big pumpkins … I suppose we’re too late for that and were sold out already.
Than we passed a little greengrocer’s in a small town and there was a very big pumpkin standing in front of the shop. I had to go inside and ask what the price would be… The people in the shop couldn’t just tell me the price they sell pumkins by the kilo. So I took the big thing into the shop and they weighed the pumpkin and it was more over 6 kilos! The price was €4, 75 for that big thing! Mom was thrilled by it so I went back to the shop and bought it.

We are totally touched by the Americans and there Halloween…There is one lady in America who reads my blog , she has so many pumpkins in her garden, she even has a snake that’s made of more than 20 pumkins, that’s so cool! http://daffodilsanddragons.blogspot.com/ Thanks F.!
So we bought a lot of calabashes and 2 pumkins.

Picture: We passed a little village and there was a beautiful mill

This morning we left Epe ( the little village in the woods) at 10 o’clock and drove on to Elburg. There we bought some souvenirs. Elburger cookies for Grandma and Marijke, who did the mail and took care of Timmie the rabbit. For ourselves we bought a washtub to put the pumpkins and the calabashes in that will get a place in the garden.

Picture: The calabashes and the pumpkins under the shed in the garden.

This afternoon about half passed 12 we arrived at home. I almost directly called Mark and asked him if he would help me carve faces in the pumpkins.

In the big one we did some Christmas lights and they are burning now! It looks great in the dark!

It’s late already I go upstairs and sleep in my own bed (always nice after a strange bed on vacation) … bye… see you tomorrow!

Here we are again!

Picture: Lange Frans and Baas B in Lego World Zwolle

Hi, we found a computer in the library of Epe ( east part of the Netherlands)
It's great here! 2 days we had a lot of rain but now the sun is shining and it's even warm!
Yesterday we went to Zwolle to Lego World all day! It was so cool... We have seen all the kids top 20 artists. First Jumbo, then Kus and also Lange Frans and Baas B, so great to see them in real live!

Picture: Sita and Co are drinking Champagne because they put the last Lego part to the biggest Lego creation in the world.

Sita and Co did the whole show and they also sung there latest big hit To the Max! When they placed the last Lego stone I was standing in the frontline and they were making a film which will be on tv this weekend so I think I'll be on TV, maybe....

Picture: Big elephant all made of Lego

We saw all the Lego things, tigers, that’s something for grandma, she always paints tigers and there was a rock band all made of Lego.

Picture: Rock Band

At Lego world
we run into Jasper and Brain who are kids from my school!
In the Lego shop a bought some Lego, a few grey stones and some red ones but it was every expensive. €0, 07 ($0, 08) per gram, well I just had a small bag with a few stones and at the cash-desk I had to pay €19, --!!!! ($23.--) Pphhhff… that’s al lot!

I also made a boat of Lego but when I put it in the water it sunk.. The second time it went better
Well it was a cool day at Lego World!

The house were living in is great and very new and it is in the middle of the woods. The trees are so beautiful here they are very red, that isn’t so were we live, there they turn yellow, not red…

So I’ll stop now, it is a strange computer here, every 5 minutes it asks if I want to go on, I think it will cost a lot of money … bye …see you soon!

Collect everything for tomorrow !

Picture: Just quickly putting some extra music on my mp3 player

This morning I collected everything I want to take with me tomorrow when we’re going out on our holidays. Games, books, mp3 player and of course my play station.

Just when I finished all that, Mark called and asked if I would like to come to his place and play with the Lego trains. He has got 2 trains so cool men! We played all afternoon.
I'm looking forward to the days that are coming! But the coolest thing is Lego World we’ll be visiting on Tuesday! I’m so curios what it all will be. I’ve seen some things on TV and it all looks so great, lions, a complete rock band and all made of Lego, so I can’t wait to get there!

This evening I thought it would be nice to put some new music on my mp3 player to take with me tomorrow, so I plucked the stick in the computer and it only takes 30 seconds per song, quick isn’t it? So new music tomorrow!

So I’ll go to bed now.. I don’t know when I'll be able to write again… maybe there is a possibility to internet somewhere in the woods.....You’ll never know….

Bye… see you soon!

Rain, rain and rain...

Picture: Dark all day...

This morning when I woke up it was already raining. It was 8 o'clock and still dark so I thought it was still early, but it wasn't. When we arrived at the bowling it was so crowded.
The Noord Holland (= the county we live in) selection team was training at our club this morning. Therefore we could not use all the courses and it took so long before you could through your ball again. So the trainers decided that we could play longer if we wanted that… So I played for more over than 2 hours.. that was so great!

After the bowling we went to Schalkwijk (a shopping mall in Haarlem) just to be indoors because the weather was still very bad. Sometimes you think that it over and then the rain starts again.

Picture: Garden centre Groenrijk in our Village.

Before we went home we stopped by the Garden centre Groenrijk to buy some food for Timmie. On our way to the rabbit food we passed a few boxes and baskets with pumpkins. I think they are so cool to curve them en put a candle in it, but they were so expensive €5,-- ( more than $4,- ) a piece. I wanted one but Dad said that it was much to expensive! That’s to bad… no pumpkins so ever!

When we got home I went to Marijke, I had to ask if she wants to give Timmie his food next week when we are away. So I gave her some carrots and green food so she can give that to Timmie.

Just before dinner it was raining so bad that I wanted to look at Timmie in the garden if everything was alright and if the rooftop was closed well. It was raining so hard that I wanted to run quickly back from the hutch to the house, then I slipped backwards and got wet al over, everything was covered with mud… ggghhhrrr…. Mom angry of course because she told me not to go out in the terrible wether, but I just wanted to see if Timmie was alright. So I took of all the dirty clothes of on the door mat right behind the door and handed Mom the clothes. They were dripping mud and Mom was covered all over with it. Than she got more angry… aaaiii…

After dinner I watched Idols on TV, men that’s al laugh…that people think that they can sing… you won’t believe it…it’s so embarrassing…

So it's late already I’ll go to bed and watch some TV there … bye … see you tomorrow!

Last day at school!

Picture: Rebuilding of the big beakery on the dike just behind our house.

This morning at the last day of school I took with me the CD that Mom burnt yesterday with the pictures of the Magic Books week event to give to the teacher. So she can take care of it and it will be on the schools internet site in a few days. The teacher liked them, there were a lot of pictures on the CD, I believe there were more then 60 pictures....
This afternoon when I went home for lunch the weather was terrible….rain, rain and more rain… I was soaking wet when I got home. When I got back at school we had to watch an awful film for more then 2 ours…it was so stupid…Now the fall holidays is there one week no school….

Tomorrow I will pack my bags for the vacation we’re leaving this Monday! This afternoon we already did some shopping, groceries we have to take with us Monday. The weather still is very bad and we had a lot of rain on the motorway to Amsterdam and when we got back there was a traffic jam when we got near our village…
Then we passed the big bakery on the dike just behind our house, there was a giant hoisting-crane because they are rebuilding the bakery .. see the picture. Do you see that crane? There was one much bigger at our house 4 years ago when they were rebuilding our house. That’s really through! I will look for the pictures, it’s to pity that we didn’t have a digital camera then, but mom will make a picture of a picture!

Yes I got them… here a few so you can see the crane and the mass in our living room….

Pictures: 1. the giant hoisting crane, 2. and again, 3. our living room, completely broken down!, 4. Neighbor girl friend Ashlyn and me, 5. and again our living room, 6. then the outside totally new!

It was a great time, for about half a year we didn’t have a living room, we almost lived outside happily the weather was fine! I watched all the old pictures this evening, we have 2 albums full, it’s so cool to see that all back!

Now I’ll go upstairs … bye ....see you tomorrow!

Tonight Magic at school!

Picture: Franka looks like a real witch.....

This afternoon there was the books market al last! For lunch I went home with Mark and we went back to school with al the books and the lucky Box. We sold a lot of books together we had about €9, -- I bought myself 2 books one football book and one named Pietje Bell.
Mom came to school so we could carry al the books back home. I had only 10 little books left and on the playground a boy asked me if I had any books left, so I sold him a few. More kids came up to me and so I sold more books. Mom was so ashamed by me selling the books on the playground in front of the school, she did not like me doing that. Every time I shouted “Books for sale” she asked my to come home. I didn’t understand why she wanted me home, I sold al my books and earned €5, -- with it, that’s great isn’t it?

Tonight at half passed 6 we and our parents had to be at school for the final of the books project called Magic. We decorated the classroom this afternoon with al spiders we made ourselves, bats, witches and we had burning candles and it was dark like hell in the classroom … cool and very scary! At seven o’clock we had to go the mean hall of the school for the prices which were given for the one who wrote the best story. The golden pen! It was a great evening. On the right side of my blog you find a link under my foto– albums there is an album of tonight’s event at school. See : 20-10-2005 Magie op school.
Tomorrow is our last day at school so we have the autumn vacation for a week. Monday were going away for a few days to the east part of the Netherlands and Tuesday we’ll go to Zwolle where the Lego event is… that’s so cool!
Now it’s time to go to bed…. Bye… see you tomorrow!

Almost St. Nicholas?

Picture: The first speculaasjes this year. There are 2 kinds of speculaas, the normal and the one with the almond filling.

Mom had already speculaas this afternoon… that’s a sign that the summer is over! Then it will be St. Nicholas soon. In about 3 weeks he will come to the Netherlands (he comes with al his black workers all the way from Spain, to celebrate his birthday on the 6th of December in our country and gives us all presents on the 5th of December the day before his birthday! This year he will come on the 12 of November. From that day on all the little kids, can put one shoe in front of the fire place, chimney, or the heating. If they have been good and have been sweet Zwarte Piet (St. Nicholas black helper) will put some sweets and presents in there shoe (he will come through the chimney, that's why he is black) Kids put a carrot, or apple in there shoe for the white horse of St. Nicholas).

That’s always a nice and cozy time with all speculaas, peppernoten, shoe presents and boxing evening on the 5th of December! Mom said that we will celebrate St. Nicholas not very big this year, she said that I’m so big now and don’t believe the story of St. Nicholas anymore so we can celebrate Christmas more and put more present under the Christmas tree. Ooohhh I love presents under the Christmas tree, it’s much more fun and days before boxing day you can see the present under the tree and try to see which present will be yours…that is so cool!

This afternoon I spend at Mark’s place to finish the books project for tomorrow. All the books have a price card now and the box with the hidden books, the lucky box is also finished. So we have to take all of that to school tomorrow, that would be heavy!

Tonight I watched TV on the couch…..and now I’m going up stairs to watch some TV in my bed… that’s so nice…. Bye… see you tomorrow!

All at once it's autumn!

Picture: swept al the autumn leaves away..

This morning at school I did my topo test, it was easy, I didn’t make any mistake and got a 10 (A).
After school I went straight to the shed to get a broom to get the leaves cleaned up in front of our home….there was quite a heap of leaves. It was such a mess there… luckily the dustmen will come tomorrow because the dustbin is full after cleaning al the mess…

To day it’s really autumn, it was so cold this morning only 6 C0 ( 42 F) on our thermometer outside and the meter is close to the house, so it’s colder down to the ground. So I put on my winter coat this morning and I still was cold. I went to school on my bike and my hands were freezing… bbrrr..oohhhh… Timmie in his hutch must be very cold.. Timmie had very cold ears this morning… that’s so sad… But Mom said that he has to get used to the cold, in winter he also has to be out in the garden, only when it’s freezing we place his hutch in the shed.

So now I go upstairs to my nice warm bed…bye …see you tomorrow!

The most beautiful strike ever!

Picture: The sucker beets have to get out of the ground!

I woke up late this morning, it was almost half passed seven. I was so glad that I wasn’t sick anymore, only a little bit tired.
After school Mark and I went to my place to do our Topography with Mom. It was very difficult this time. Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg.
After the homework it was already bowling time. I throw the most wonderful strike that’s ever possible! When I throw my ball there was a Pin in the gutter from the boy who’s turn was before me. My ball hits the pin in the gutter which flu in the air and was thrown against my 10 pins which I had to hit with my ball…. It was a great strike…!! Wooouuuhh if you would have planned this shot you won’t succeed in doing it this way…

Picture: How is it possible?

Everybody was calling woouh.. sstt ..don’t say anything, this strike doesn’t count. But the machine counted it as if it was a good strike and so I finally broke my record! My highest score ever! It wasn’t al very honest, but everybody on the bowling said it’s all right… don’t worry keep on going Men!

On our way home we passed the fields with the sucker beets. The farmers were still busy getting the beets out of the ground. All the beautiful green fields turning to awful grey clay fields… The picture above shows the beautiful greens field which will be grey after a few hours…

When we got home I did my topo again and it finally went good...
But now I’ll go to bed… I’m so tired…. Bye… see you tomorrow!

To Artis!

Picture: On July the 21 two baby lionesses were born.

To day we went to Artis (the Amsterdam Zoo) at last! It was a long time ago since we went there. (We’ve got a card for a whole year so we can go when ever we like) To day it was a bite unsure if we could get there. The Amsterdam, Marathon was being held to day in Amsterdam so they would close a lot of roads. It all went well, there was no problem at all.
When we arrived in Artis we first went to the little lionesses. They are called Ayana and Nyota. Ayana means flour in Swahili and Nyota is star in Swahili. They grown quite a lot! Ooohhh …they are so sweet I would love to hug them but that isn’t possible unfortunately. You can’t imagine that they are so dangerous if you watch them behind the bars.

Picture: The little Elephant Yindee

After we watched the lions we went to the elephants. On august the 2nd a little elephant was born, Yindee I have to see how see is… Ooohh it is so nice to see, Yindee is growing fast as well.. it’s so nice she is outside now for a few hours a day.

Then we went to the sea lions because it was feeding time. That’s always a little party, a complete show you can watch. They play with the sea lions, they have to kiss the man who gives them the fish before they get anything. They have to jump in and out the water, its fun to watch.

Picture: 1 - feeding the sea lions
Picture: 2 - Pomdidoe is already 44 years!
Picture: 3 - Autumn in Artis
Picture: 4 - the gardens, the fields

It was a very cool day in Artis, all the young animals that's so great to see..
When we went home we passed a few road blocks, the Amsterdam Marathon was still going on.

Picture 6: Kattenburgerplein, Kattenburgergracht just across Maritime museum at the Amsterdam IJ. ( just behind the central station of Amsterdam, at the Amsterdam Harbor)

When we went home we passed a few road blocks, the Amsterdam Marathon was still going on. just across the Amsterdam Harbor.

When we got home I wasn’t feeling very well, I was cold and got sick. Than I lay down on the couch with a thick blanket and it got something better. I sorted out the pictures for today’s post and Mom helped me writing it … I couldn’t do it to day….
I’ll go to bed now… bye ..see you tomorrow…

Ajax museum

Picture: Amsterdam Arena, the Ajax football stadium.

This morning I first went to the bowling club where I had my bowling training. I had a good training and learned quite a lot. How to stand before you throw the ball. How to keep your arms up when the ball slips out of your hand and more stuff like that.

After the bowling we went to the Ajax museum. For school I ‘m still writing the Ajax story and the last part of the story is about the Ajax museum, that’s why we had to visit the museum. The picture above was taken on top of the parking garage of the Amsterdam Arena, the Ajax stadium.

Inside the museum there was al lot to see. Lots of Ajax trophies, like on the picture below. Lots of football shirts and old pictures of the old Ajax football team.
We took quite a lot of pictures which I can use for my Ajax story (essay).

Picture: All the Ajax trophies they ever won and that's quite a lot and they are beautiful!

There also was a film about a few Ajax football players.

Pictures: picture 1 : The golden football shoe Marco van Basten once won.
Picture 2: The big room with all the Ajax stuff.
Picture 3: The Ajax Shop.
Picture 4: The big square in front of the Ajax Stadium.
Picture 5: The big Heineken Music Hall which is also on the square in front of the Ajax Stadium.
Picture 6: The exit, way out of the parking garage of the Amsterdam Arena.

It was a great day at the Amsterdam Arena and the museum, I liked the trophies the most! They are so ever so cool!!!!!

I’ll go to bed now it’s ever so late now… bye …see you tomorrow!

Picture from auntie Suus

Picture: Fall colors

Nice fall colors eh? This picture was send to me just when I was writing on my Blog. Nice trees they have in Canada! It was send to me by auntie Suus from Canada. Thanks auntie Suus for the nice picture!

Picture: Just got back from prumpet lessons...

Today at school we had to do 2 tests. The first test was the History test, which was very difficult! I studied so hard yesterday but we all got other questions, things we had years ago. I don’t know that anymore..

After that we also had an arithmetic lesson, test, which was easy! The teacher corrected the test this morning and what do you think? I got a 10- (A-) I was the only one in class who had a good mark, I don’t understand, it wasn’t so difficult… I only made one stupid mistake I forgot one figure…. Aaaii.. that can happen…..

Tonight I went to trumpet lessons, only once this evening. The lessons of this evening at 7 o’clock didn’t go through. Almost all the kids had a party at school so there would be only 2 of us left. Teacher Bob called and said that he had canceled the lesson, so better next week.

That’s all for today it was a quiet day… bye … see you tomorrow!

Run for the School!

Picture: After each round you have to get a stamp on your card.

This afternoon we had to run for the school. Last week the teacher gave use a card and told us that we have to collect sponsors for the run for school. People can put on the card how much money they will give for each round we run. So when you run a lot the people have to pay much! The money we collect is for the school, they can buy all sorts off things, books computers, videos all that kind of stuff.
15 minutes after 1 this afternoon the head master Henk blew the horn for the take-off and of we went. It was a big round we had to run. We started just in the park beside our house and then we had to pass our house, then strait to school and back to the starting point. Ppphhhff … when I think of it I’m already tired again.
Mom was watching, she took a day of from work to support us. I was so glad she was there. It was very hot about 22 degrees and in the sun at least 32 degrees it looks almost summer! Because it was so close to our home Mom got me a bottle off water, that was very nice I drank it all at once. It was to hot to run…..but I finally walked 8 rounds that was rather much. There were kids that faked rounds, they didn’t run and got stamps anyway….so they had about 12 stamps! That wasn’t fair, but there are such kids who do that… stupid!

After school I couldn’t play with Mark, we both had to do our homework, the topography for next week. We only have one week to learn it this time, a bit short isn’t it? We have to learn the city’s of the Nederland’s, Belgium and Luxemburg.
After that I had to do my History, tomorrow we have a History test.
At last I did some of my Ajax story. It was almost 5 o’clock when I was finished so I went outside to play for one hour.

Now it is almost 8 o’clock so I’ll go upstairs…. Bye … see you tomorrow!

Working on the books project!

Picture: This is the lake behind our house where I always go fishing with Mark

To day were not going to fish, we don’t have the time for that we’ll have to finish the books project we started yesterday Mark and me.. So after I had my lunch I went to Marks place. Yesterday we have started to make some price tickets to put on all the books we are going to sell on the school books market next week. We made the tickets on the computer and put a string to it and stick it on the books. We also made a lucky-box with lots off bits of old newspapers in it and on bottom of it we put some books. For €0,60 every child can try to get something out of it. That’s nice isn’t it?
When we were finished I went home to do something on my
Ajax story. I did almost everything on the computer and I’m quite far with it.

This evening we had Chili for dinner with rise, I love that!

So I’m going to finish this because there is football on the tv The Netherlands against and
Macedonia it will be exiting!

Bye ..see you tomorrow!

Making a book selection

Picture: All the books which I'll will sell on the school books- market next week! All old books!

This afternoon when I came from school Mom and me made a books selection because there is a books market next week in our school. Every child could bring the books which he don’t use anymore and can buy other books which the other children are selling.
I’ve quite a lot of books I’ll never read again, there just for little children. There is only one book I‘ll never sell at the book market… (het rode kippetje) The little red chicken. When I was little Mom had to read that book to me every night before getting to sleep day after day… I liked that book so much if she didn’t read that to me I wouldn’t sleep…..
I still think it is a very nice book ….

This is the story:

The little red chicken finds some corn on the field.

Who wants to help me to sow the corn” asked the little red chicken.
”I don’t
“said the cat. “I don’t” said the dog. “I don’t” said the duck.
”Then I‘ll do it on my own” said the little red chicken. And so she did.

Then it became summer and the corn begins to grow.
”Who wants to help me weed the weeds?” asked the little red chicken.
”I don’t
“said the cat. “I don’t” said the dog. “I don’t” said the duck.
”Then I‘ll do it on my own” said the little red chicken. And so she did.

The fall came and the corn had to be taken from the land.
”Who wants to help me harvest the corn?” asked the little red chicken.
”I don’t
“said the cat. “I don’t” said the dog. “I don’t” said the duck.
”Then I‘ll do it on my own” said the little red chicken. And so she did.

After she harvests the corn the little red chicken asked:
”Who wants to help me grind the corn?”
”I don’t
“said the cat. “I don’t” said the dog. “I don’t” said the duck.
”Then I‘ll do it on my own” said the little red chicken. And so she did.

On a cold winters day the little red chicken got the flour from the barn.
”Who wants to help me bake a bread of this flour?” asked the little red chicken.
”I don’t
“said the cat. “I don’t” said the dog. “I don’t” said the duck.
”Then I‘ll do it on my own” said the little red chicken. And so she did.

Soon the smell off fresh baked bread was all over.
”Who wants to help me eat the bread?” asked the little red chicken.
”Yes me
“said the cat.”Yes me” said the dog. “Yes me” said the duck.
”No you won’t” said the little red chicken. “I’ll eat it all by my self”
I’ll sow the corn, I’ll weed the weeds, I’ll harvest the corn, I’ll grind the corn and I’ll baked the bread and now I’ll eat it al by my own”
And so she did

No this book doesn’t go to the school books market, it stays in our bookcase!

After I sorted out the books with Mam I went to Mark with a big pile off books. At his place we made price cards on the computer which we can stick on it, so we know what the pice off the books is when go sell them next week. We don’t finish the complete pile off books so I’ll think we finish it tomorrow.

It’s late already I ‘ll have to go to bed… bye ..see you tomorrow!

Today a beautiful sunset!

Picture: When we drove home this evening from the bowling, there was a beautiful sunset seen from the dike just behind our house. In the back you can see a plain that will be landing on the Polderbaan off Schiphol. The white stripes are the tracks of other planes which are gone for a long time.. Nice isn’t it?

This afternoon I went home with Mark to have lunch. We got an assignment from the teacher we had to see on the internet for our project of this week, the books week project, what the men Otto has to do to day. We found the task and took it back to school, so we worked on it this afternoon… it was a nice game….
After school I started to do my homework, the Ajax story I have to write. That was not for long, Justin and Mark came by if I could burn a music CD for Mark, and I succeeded in doing it by myself.

After that I had dinner, a bit early but other whish I would get very hungry at the bowling and that isn’t nice when you have to play with an empty stomach.

I was playing like a tiger! To bad that I didn’t break my records to night…Better next time…
When we left the bowling, there where all police motor cycles standing in a row. The policemen always have a dinner break at the bowling, everyday between 6 and 7 there are lots off police motor cycles standing there.

So its late already … I'll go to bed… bye… see you tomorrow!

On the move with Mark!

Picture: The street to Marks home, behind the red houses Mark lives.

This morning I played all morning with my new Lego. The big house becomes beautiful!
This afternoon Mark called, he asked if I would come over to play with him. He baked some cakes with his mother this morning and asked if I would like to taste it. Yes I always love to teast cakes, I love cakes! The cake was delicious. After eating the cake we went to visit his grandmother who lives on the other side of our villages near the dike. We went by bicycle. When we left there we went to see his aunt and later also his grandfather. That was a whole trip, but nice..

When we came back we played a little football in the park. Before we know it, it was already dinnertime. We had chicken tonight...mm... I love chicken out of the oven.
After dinner I made a CD ( burned it) for Mark and I took it to his place. So now he has all the good music now, Ali B and the crazy frog...nice is't it?

In the evening Grand Pa came by, he had some problems with his laptop. He was trying to put his holiday pictures on the computer but suddenly they where gone (?) Though Mom couldn't find them either. Computers are sometimes crazy things, sometimes things just disappear..

I'll go upstairs, tomorrow it's school time and then I have to learn again and have to get up early!

Bye... see you tomorrow!

A few containers are still there!

Picture: The containers that they used to surround the bomb

After the bowling this morning we went to Lisse ( a small village quit near) On our way to get there we passed the spot where they got the world war 2 bomb out of the ground yesterday. On the spot there were still containers and you could see that they did a lot of digging there. Everywhere there were police - ribbons (?) on the ground with whitch they closed off the neighbourhood.
It's to bad that it was so foggy this morning otherwise you could see the house (the street) in the back were we live. I'm so happy the bomb is gone now!

In Lisse I got the box off Lego I was looking for for so long! So I can build my big house now!

Picture: the farmers land, all the farmers are getting the sugar beets from the land

On our way back home we passed the farmers land quit near to our home, they were busy by taken all the sugar beets from the land. I would liked it to take one home, but mom said , better not. Afterwards I was sorry I didn't do it anyway.

This evening we will eat again an American dinner: Hot dogs! I love them, I'll eat 3! Yes we have to have dinner early this evening because Grand pa and Grand ma are coming back from Spain this evening and we have to catch them at Schiphol airport!

Maybe I'll wite more this evening..... see you

Yes I'm back again! About 15 minutes to 7 a plain off Transavia came over our house, from TV text we read that it must be the one in which Grandpa and Grandma were sitting. So we went to Schiphol. We could park the car in front of the mean doors off Schiphol arport right under the big TV. After Half an hour they came out and we went home with us.

Grand pa and Grand ma had a lot of presents with them for all of us. I got a box with all small cars and one little one for to put by my trains and some little men to put along the track. It's so great all the stuff I got! I love it all! Dad got a bottle of whiskey and Mom got a nice belt and some other stuff I forgot...

So I'll stop for to day because there is a football game on the telly, Holland against Tjechië, it started a while ago so I'll stop now so that I can see the end of it.
Bye..... see you tomorrow!

Bomb dismantled

Picture: These are the shipping containers which where used to surround the bomb, there are 180 off them!

Its just a very big wall! These are the shipping containers which where used to surround the bomb, there are 180 off them! Its just a very big wall! This picture is not very clear but no one could come any nearer to the bomb. This picture was taken with a very big lens that’s why its not very clear. (a news paper picture)
To day it was pretty quit in our village. No plains to see. Both the runways where still down. The Zwanenburg runway and the Polderbaan runway where still not in use. They were busy all day by getting the bomb from World War 2 which they found yesterday and get it dismantled.

At 11 o’clock we heard a big bang and our windows where shaking. Mom thought it went wrong and was waiting for the sirens of the fire department, ambulances etc. But it did not come. At 5 o’clock was on the news that they succeeded in dismantle the bomb.
They said that at
11 o’clock they made a little explosion to open op the bomb and get the explosive mechanism out of the bomb. So that was the bang we heard at 11 o’clock! After that they could dig it out and they brought it to a big lake in Hoofddorp. At that lake they let it explode, but you never hear from that ... I think that is very strange... they first make the people scared and then it's over you won't here anymore.

The teacher at school asked me this morning if my mom could burn a cd at home for school. Something from the internet for the books week project we have this week. When I got home Mom wasn't happy about that because she just had half an hour to do that before school starts again. She was just busy by making my lunch a tosty. She did it anyway between makening my toasty she sat behind the computer, it wasn't easy what the teacher wanted but Mom made it just in time and I got to school in time! I just gave her a big kiss because of her the lesson could go on this afternoon!

Picture: My American Hamburger with bacon and cheese.

This afternoon after school we had to do the shopping for my dinner party for the Buren-eetclub this evening. It was my turn to cook I really made a nice menu: American Dinner!
After we did the shopping I just started to cook. I first made paste for the brownies the dessert and put it in the cake dish and then in the oven. Then I had to run for trumpet lessons.

Picture: A little toast with on it a little paté with canberry compote.

When I got back I started to make de salad, cut the cucumber and the tomato's. For the mean course I made Hamburgers with bacon and Cheese. It was a big success, everybody liked it.

Now I have to go to bed, tomorrow I have to get up early because I have to get to the bowling at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning.... Bye ... see you tomorrow!

Bomb will explode!

This morning at 7 o’clock there was on the news that the road no. 205 between Boesingheliede and Hoofddorp was closed because they found a bomb from World War II.

Picture: road closed near the Polderbaan (= a runway at Schiphol Airport) 2 runways had been closed because of the bomb.

The bomb will almost explode, so they closed all the roads near the airport including 2 runways, the Polderbaan and the Zwanenburgbaan. Now only 22 plains can land per hour on Schiphol airport, which will cause a lot of delays. Only one thing turns out good and that is that it is very quiet in our neighborhood for a while, no plains over our house. … that’s nice that silence….

There was just on the 5 o ‘clock news that they are building a wall of shipping containers around the bomb that if it will explode that we in our village won’t feel much of the press of air…. bbrrr…… scary… It will all take a long time because they will not start before tomorrow to get it out of the ground.

At school to day we had a mysterious task of a man called Otto, we had to answer all kinds of questions en the outcome was this time PUTTEN. (= a small village in
Holland) Otto has to go to PUTTEN. Watch www.magie-encyclopedie.nl there are all things we had to do! We 'll just wait and see what will happen tomorrow.

Picture: Mark and me making music

This afternoon we made music, Mark and me. Mark played at first on my guitar, he didn't like that because he is used to play it's own. So we went to his place to get his guitar. After we came back at my place we searched for the same music in our music books and played together. Woouuuhhh... that sounded great! So we will do that more often!
Now I'll go and play outside, the weather is so nice and everybody is still playing on the square in front of our house. Bye ... see you tomorrow!
