To the doctor!

Medicines against the mosquitos....

This morning when I woke up those gnat-bites were still very big. For this reason I have been with dad to the doctor this morning, this bites are not normal anymore! Thirty lumps as large as big eggs. I didn’t sleep at all last night from the pain and the itching.

The doctor immediately gave me a medicine which I also have to take when we go on vacation, so those mosquitos won’t bite me so easily anymore. I’ll hope that the doctor is right! I also got an ointment which worked in fact straight away.... I’m so happy about that!

After the doctor I have been with Dad to his work. There was a lot to do today. Man what a work! I had to fill up the entire storehouse that was so much work I couldn’t even finish the complete job in just one day, however, it was a nice job, I liked doing that!

We have also done some shopping and at last I bought the football I wanted so badly for sometime at the MAKRO, beautiful thing man a real Nike!

Go and play outside for awhile with my new football....bye….see you tomorrow!

Rain!

Big raindrops.......

Today at last it was not so hot anymore... This afternoon, yes it really started to rain. Not small raindrops but a big shower! We even had to put Timmie back in his hutch… He was in his rabbit run on the grass in the garden with a sun umbrella right above him and still didn’t remain dry. Lovely that rain after so many hot days… and it’s good for the plants and flowers in the garden as well.

I have been stung by stupid mosquitos last night! Can’t find any mosquito in my room but after 2 nights now I have more than 20 gnat-bites on my legs and arms... ggggrrrrrr...... Those gnat-bites do become as big as big eggs and bloody red man, you don’t believe it if you haven’t seen it! (da...... mosquito’s!)

Go to bed... bye …see you tomorrow!

To Lars!

Birth announcing card of Lars.....

This morning we went to see Lars my new cousin. He is just 5 days old and what is he small, very tiny, small hands and very small feet and he can sleep!

I’ve also played with my other cousin, Koen. You can laugh with that boy! He can do very strange stunts... He can put his feet entirely beside his ears, then he moves back and forwards and is really having fun when he does that. It’s really very funny to see him doing that.

Go upstairs ... bye …. See you tomorrow!

Today Ria's birthdag!

Today July 29th is Ria’s birthday! Happy birthday Ria!

My father and mother wish you and Stan also a very happy birthday at Domaine the Beauvoir!

Stan and Ria Vaal from

At Dad’s work!

Eating a very nice kroket.....

Yesterday I have been to Dad’s work. I’ve helped Dad doing all sorts of little jobs. Helping Dad baking the kroketten for the children in the house, clearing and cleaning up everything and much more…

On the photograph I’m just eating a nice kroket... mmmmmm.... that was my second one! I always like to help Dad at work; there is always something to do…..

See you later!

Boring day!

Flat tire….

Today it was so hot…. You couldn’t do a thing or you became soaking wet of sweating. Then I went cycling this morning and I was hardly on my way or I got a flat tire! Of course there wasn’t any repair things to find in our entire house, that’s so stupid. Then I rang the bicycle-repairer, but of course that shop was closed, it’s Wednesday afternoon, all the bicycles shops are closed on Wednesday’s in our village.

Then there was nothing else to do. Almost everyone here in this neighborhood is now celebrating their vacation elsewhere. So I decided to go to the football field near my school, there I saw that theyhad removed the goals, you don’t believe it! People who live just across that field had complained at the town hall about the balls that come in their garden!

So I went home…. I became already hot by just walking in the sun…bbbaaaaccchhhh..... They say that after tomorrow the heat is over…., I hope so.

Go and play with Timmie for awhile.... he is sitting and shaking of the heat again in his rabbit run….

Bye…see you tomorrow!

I've got a new cousin!

A couple of hours ago my new cousin was born and he is called Lars!

Tonight when we were at Grandpa Frans his birthday the telephone rang at about 9.00PM. It was Mark to tell that Lars was born. That’s great eh on Grandpa’s birthday! Grandpa was extremely proud. They are all still in the hospital but they will go home soon tonight.
Mark and Annette... congratulations! I think it’s cool for Koen to have a brother!

Go upstairs... bye…. see you tomorrow!

Today Grandpa's birthdag!

Today July 25th is Grandpa Frans's birthday! Happy birthday Grandpa!

Timmie is very hot!

Timmie is shaking all over.....

Today I spend the day at Grandpa and Grandma’s, because Mom and Dad had to work. There I have played at my own laptop. So I could show Grandpa on my own laptop where we are going to in Italia in about 3 weeks. Yesterday Mom and Dad at last booked a vacation! We go to a camp-site 3 kilometers from Venetia, really too cool man, there are 6 swimming pools!

This afternoon when Mom and I came home we immediately put Timmie in his rabbit-run and we have put another hutch against it so that he has more space to play in. He can run from one hutch to the other. He liked that very much!

Tonight Timmie is very hot, he is shaking all over. His complete body is shaking back and forth, very strange to see. I’ll hope he cools down very soon.

Go upstairs...bye see you tomorrow!

To Jeanet!

It’s a little bit difficult to see, but at the second window on the right you can see a the little giraffe Jeanet…... She looks straight into the camera…..

Yesterday evening after dinner we went nevertheless to Artis. We all had to see the little new born giraffe. There are special lying-in visiting hours, but we didn’t know what they were so we took the chance by just going there so there and we would see what would happen.

When we arrived in Artis the doors of the giraffe’s home were already closed. Visiting hours where over for the day, it’s only a few times a day and we were to late….too bad…... We waiting for a long time in front of the closed glass doors, however, we might get a glimpse of her….. Yes... at last we were lucky after approximately 15 minutes I saw her standing just beside her mother in their cage. I admit it’s hard to see but she really looks me right into my face… beautiful eh?

Later we watched Yindee for a while, who was playing with a ball and later on with a tire, such a nice face! It was very nice in Artis.... when it got dark we went home.

Till later!

Last music lesson!

Performance of all the wind-instuments.......

Tonight we had a little performance just for our parents after the music lesson. Then we played a couple of numbers with all the wind-instuments of our club. That sounded very nice all those instruments together. Tonight was the last lesson, the lessons will continue 3 weeks after the summer holiday are over.....man that is almost after 2 months! It was very nice but much to warm in that room..... oooohhh.....what were we warm after we left the room!

Now I will have a sorbet ice-cream, just to cool down….. bye ….see you tomorrow

Summer holidays!

Gonna have some fun now!

A giraffe is born in Artis!

Little giraffe Jeanet... was born yesterday evening in Artis! That was in this evening’s paper Het Parool, ooohhh … so sweet!

Jeanet is the first baby of the giraffes Oranya and Asali. When I saw that in the paper I immediately went to the Artis internet site, and there I saw the first photographs of the little giraffe.

There she is, she can’t even stand on her legs yet.

You can see on this picture that she is a brand new born baby. I think we’ll go to Artis soon to see that little giraffe…. ooooohhh… exciting.

Tomorrow is our last school day and then the holiday’s are there! It will be a short day, we go out at 11.15 AM tomorrow morning.

Just go and play outside for a while … it not so very hot now ….bye…see you tomorrow!

Hot, hotter, hottest!

Four Days Marches of Nijmegen...has been canceled!

Today we had a very short school day. School went out at 11.15 AM this morning. Oooohhh..... what was it hot today, what am I saying it’s still hot!

Also the four days Marches of Nijmegen is not going to be continued, they are now everything clearing away, it’s much too warm to continue the Marches. Yesterday on the first day of the Marches 2 people have died of the warmth and more than 30 people were hospitalized.

Tonight we had a nice fruits salad as a side dish, which is in fact the only thing I really do like when it’s hot like this, mmmm… that’s so great!

Nice fruit!

I was just watching the news on TV and they said that in Limburg in Arcen there was the hottest place in The Netherlands today. There it was 36.9 C (98,6 F) degrees, all records has been broken!

This afternoon I played some games on my computer outside in the garden. It was hot everywhere, inside, outside…..so bad!

Go and play with Timmie for awhile...bye...see you tomorrow!

Red Cross at school!

Everybody in the tent, listening to the Mrs. who is telling us what they do at the Red Cross...... They help with calamities just like the one sometime ago in Enschede with the fire works and the big fire in Volendam!

Today Chris had his lecture at school. He had a lecture about the Red Cross. His father is a volunteer at the Red Cross and he always has work if there are calamities. He also was at the big fire in Volendam in 2001. Chris’s father showed us a lot of things which they use when they have to save people.

There was a large tent from the Red Cross at the schoolyard.

Everybody in the tent. Ambulance with a trailer at the schoolyard.

Everybody is watching Chris’s father who is busy in the ambulance...

It was very nice afternoon at school!

Tomorrow we’ll get the tropical school hours at last. Tomorrow morning at 8.00 AM school starts and I’ll be out at 11.15 PM... mmmm that’s great…. It’s much too hot in our classroom.

Go and play with Timmie for a while, he is also very hot. From time to time I make my hands a little wet with water and then I caress his fur with my wet hands….he likes that, just to freshen up a little bit.

Bye …see you tomorrow!

Soooooooo....hot!

The thermometer in our garden at the wall from the barn.......

This afternoon when I came home from school the thermometer in the garden had reached its maximum….. It couldn’t go up higher, man it’s so hot! Today we asked the teacher at school if there is a chance that we’ll get the tropical hours back at school for those days which are left before the holidays starts. But the teacher said that we still have so much to do that we can’t stop any earlier......pppphhhfff.....Then we’ll all be baked in the oven which is our classroom right now! No that’s not funny anymore …... On TV they just said that it will become much warmer tomorrow and even more the day after.

Go upstairs….bye… see you tomorrow!

Nice flower boxes!

What you can make of an old fence….......

This morning Dad and I have picked up an old fence at Piet’s, he didn’t need it anymore so I could use it. Last year I have made a few flower boxes of old wood and Mom liked them so much that she asked me to make a few others to put in our front garden. Dad and I took it all apart and then we made all small pieces of the wood. A couple hours later the flower boxes were finished… beautiful he?

This afternoon my laptop has been connected on the wireless network so I can take my laptop into the garden were I’m able to go on the internet, man that is so cool!

Yes... internet works!

Go upstairs ...bye ....see you tomorrow!

I've got it!

Wooooowhhhhhh... Cool laptop eh?

Yesterday late in the afternoon the computer shop called that my laptop had arrived. So Dad and I went immediately to the shop to pick it up. Only it must go back somewhere next week because the laptop still has to be upgraded up to 1 GB. But I don’t mind that, now I can play with it all weekend.

When I got back with my laptop, Lidy and Arjen had arrived to have dinner with us, but I have been nevertheless played a little at my computer. I couldn’t let is stay in the box could I?

The menu card of our dinner party yesterday.....

Afterwards we had a deliciously dinner, nice first course, then we had pasta with salmon and in-between we had a great spoom (champagne with lemon ice ream)...... mmmm... deliciously!

I’ll stop now so I go and play a nice game at my laptop…..bye!

Lighted doormat!

The little light is on, unfortunately you can’t see that very well on the photograph........

Today teacher Petra had her last day at our school so she brought something nice for everyone. We all got a little light and then we all had to make a doormat. From 2 pieces of paper and some Aluminum foil we have made a real doormat. Then we had to attach 2 electricity cords to the little light. When you step on the doormat the light will switch on, so cool man!

This afternoon after school I helped Jamie delivering the newspapers in our neighborhood. We did a lot of newspapers in mail boxes. I like that kind of work, I also would like to do a job like that myself but that is not possible, I’m not yet 12 years old.

We almost couldn’t put a photograph on the blog today. Timmie just had bite through the cable from the photo camera .....ooohhh....naughty Timmie. Mom was busy on her laptop and I was sitting next to her with Timmie on my lap and suddenly when we both blinked our eyes Timmie jumped from my lap and just bit on the camera cable and before we realized it the cable was already to pieces.
Then I went searching for another cable and fortunately I found one that fitted the camera.

I don’t understand those strange habits....... Timmie never bites but when he sees a cable or a zipper in vest or coat he has to bite in it, strange he? Acchhhh... he is so sweet..... you can’t be angry with him......

Go upstairs...it’s late already ...bye....see you tomorrow!

To the bank!

All coins from my piggy bank.....

This afternoon when Dad came home we went to the bank to deposit my savings from my piggy bank. Man what was that box with all these coins heavy! All the coins went in a large machine which immediately started counting the coins and afterwards I got a receipt on which the amount was mentioned.

I do hope so that the computer shop will ring soon that the laptop has arrived...Can’t wait!

Go and play the Gold Rush game on the computer..... I’ll have to practice so when we’ll go playing the game at school I’ll be better then ever. Bye...see you tomorrow!

Going to grandma!

Tonight I went to Grandma to pick up an envelope which I had forgotten last week, yes... and then there was Mom standing there with her camera…........ so she took my picture…

This afternoon after school I worked on my essay which I finished on the computer…...ppppfff... only when I printed out the last page, the printer run out of ink….. So I just missed one sentence …man that was so stupid!

Then we had to go to the PC Shop to buy a new ink thing. There they had a beautiful offer of a brand new laptop that was such a great bargain I could already buy! This weekend I counted all the money from my piggy bank and there was a lot of money in it.

It was such a pity that the store didn’t have the laptop in stock….... Maybe perhaps they get it delivered sometime. If that is the matter the man in the store would give us a ring….. I cannot wait for that phone to ring, that laptop is so cool man!

When we came home, Dad’s piggy which he made in France was standing on the garden table. Piet had also baked that one in his oven and it had become very beautiful. Nice he?

I just printed out the last rule of my essay and now it is finally finished!

Go upstairs.... bye…. see you tomorrow!

Another one ready!

Mam's figurine...............

Tonight Piet came by, this time to bring Mom’s figurine. That one also became very beautiful! Great he?

At school the teacher had a nice game for us to play on the computer, Gold Rush Deluxe….... Yes the holidays are coming up so there is not much work to do at school anymore, almost everything is finished. We only have 2 more weeks to go before the holidays are starting!

This afternoon I worked hard on my Artis essay which I have to hand in next Wednesday. I’ll be glad when that is finished, man that’s still a lot of work!

Go upstairs… bye…see you tomorrow!

Sea-lion has been baked

Yes.... he remained complete.......

Yesterday evening I got my sea-lion back from Piet which I made a couple weeks ago in France at the workshop ‘modeling clay’ at Domaine the Beauvoir. Piet had baked it in his oven and it has remained entirely complete. We were a bit frightened that there would be little air bubbles in it and then it could explode in the oven, but fortunately that didn’t happen.

It became beautiful man! Entirely white! Now we will go to Keramikos to buy some colored glaze. Ria van Domaine the Beauvoir gave us the numbers of the glaze which we liked so now we can just give them to Keramikos.

Tomorrow Piet will bake Mom’s the figurine as well, so I’ll hope that that one also remains good......

See you later!

Food, food and more food!

Nice fire.........

It was a very busy start of the weekend... a dinner party weekend....... Yesterday I went to bed pretty late, it was something about passed 12.00 PM. Ruud and Femke came to dinner and it was a very nice evening. We had all kinds of nice bites to eat...........mmmmmmm...... so great man!

All sorts of little bites to eat with Ruud and Femke...

Today we had neighbor-dinner club and it was Piet’s turn to cook. Also Bas and Marjoleine came to dinner. Piet had all nice pieces of meat to grill on the plate-roaster. Man that was nice... I had a lot of meat!

After dinner Bass started a great fire basket. At first there was only smoke, but later on it became a great fire. That was so cool man, the sparks were flying all over the place.......

Great fire!

Go to bed, it's late already....bye.... see you tomorrow!
