Queen's day 2006!

Small boats with "orange people" in the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam... That is queen’s Day ….....

Yesterday we got up at 04.00 AM.... Yes, that was quite early! We have then left with the full trailer to our village centre. It was still terrible dark then but there were already many people who got there selves a pretty spot to sell their “old “ stuff. We just had the last spot under the porch at the mail office. Gladly that spot was still free we wanted that spot because when it would start to rain we’ll still be dry out there.

At 04.45 AM we were completely unpacked and ready to sell our stuff. .. There was only one problem... it was terribly cold! It was only a few degrees above zero (35 F) and there was a very cold wind, man what was I cold…..bbbbrrrrr....

Later it started to rain also, but we were dry fortunately under the porch of the mail office! At 09.00 my toes were entirely frozen! Fortunately the sale of my stuff went very well!
Within 2 hours I had sold both my old bicycles and had I still left a few old video’s, a couple of books from the 2 boxes full which I had!
At about 12.30 we had become so cold that we picket up everything at left. I already had sold almost everything except for a few books and a few videos.

When we turned home Ruud, Michiel and Granddad came to us. Together we went to Amsterdam.... Fortunately it was not that cold in Amsterdam and it remained dry....

The "man’s club" at its first drink at café the New Lelie in the Jordan of Amsterdam..... That really tasted pretty well!

Busy, busy and very busy in the little streets of the Jordan in Amsterdam. In the background you can see the Westertoren! That’s really a celebration there man, that’s so cool! Everywhere small boats in the Amsterdam canal’s with celebrating orange people, everywhere music and lively dancing people ....a real party!

In the evening we have been with a big group to Mr. Wong and had a great meal. It really was a great day... but I was very tired man.......
At my photo-albums (Queen’s Day - koninginnedag 2006) you can see all the pictures which we have made yesterday at the market here in our village and in Amsterdam at the canals...

Today was a nice resting day... much had not been done. I only sat behind the computer or was watching TV. I needed that today, it was necessary after a busy day like yesterday.

Go to bed... bye see you tomorrow!

Trailer has been loaded!

All the stuff is ready to move!

This afternoon after school Dad and I have put all the stuff which I will sell tomorrow at the free-market at Queen’s Day in the trailer. So we can leave quickly at 4.30 AM tomorrow morning. Yes, we must be very early otherwise all the beautiful spots are gone in the shopping area here in our village and if we come late there wouldn’t be a spot left to put my market-stall.

For this reason I will get up at
4.00 AM tomorrow…... Ooooohhh....., so exciting tomorrow!
Bye …. See you tomorrow!

1st time fishing!

My new fishing-rod…

This afternoon after school Mark and I went fishing for the first time this year in the canal quite near our house. It lasted only, however, a very long time before I could fish because I had to attach my fishing-line to my new fishing-rod. That was rather difficult! Fortunately Grandpa just passed by and he attached the fishing-line for me.

After that Mark and I had a great time, we drank a bottle of soda and have eaten an entire bag of chips….... Only when Mark got a fish his fishing-net broke just when he had put it in the water…… We still don’t understand how that was possible....
We had a nice time there on the waterfront……... I think we’ll go again very soon…

Go upstairs... bye… see you tomorrow!

Everything is ready

What a lot of stuff eh?

This afternoon I collected everything together, my old books, old videos and games what I will sell Saturday on the free-market here in our village on Queen’s day. Those orange crowns we will wear when we go to Amsterdam Saturday afternoon. There everyone is wearing orange things, this is so cool man!

A couple days ago we have put an advertisement to sell my go kart on Marktplaats on the internet. I’ve become too large and I don’t use it ever more.

This evening someone came to our place to have a look at the go kart and bought it right away! I’m so glad…... I’m saving for a laptop and the money which I got for this go kart is a beautiful beginning; otherwise it would take me years and years saving all that money eh?

Go upstairs ... bye… see you tomorrow!

Making the bike oke!

Putting on a new bike bell.........

This afternoon I went to the village with Dad to buy a new bike-bell for my bicycle. Thursday at school we are having a bicycle test just before we are having the traffic examination in a couple of weeks. If your bicycle is not in order you’re not allowed to do the examination. My bicycle was in order only my bike-bell was broken, but now with that new bike-bell he is entirely ok!

Afterwards we have made the canvas in the wooden planter and put the buxus trees in it. It really looks so beautiful!

Go upstairs ... bye…. See you tomorrow!

The first Lady bugs!

Lady bugs on the garden fence …..

This afternoon after school I immediately started my homework... Geography... quite difficulty man! I could not get it into my head.... How was Istanbul first called...? Byzantium and later on Constantinople..... Constant ten ople (s) ... brrrr..... I become crazy from it all! Hope I’ll remember it tomorrow!

Tonight when we returned home from the bowling it really felt like spring! There were a couple of Lady bugs on our garden fence ……... yes… from those I had to take a photograph!

Go upstairs ... bye... see you tomorrow!

Wooden planter for the buxus!

Planter made of old wood.......

This morning I have made a planter of a piece of wood what was standing in the garden for years. Yesterday at Ikea we have bought a few of those beautiful buxus trees and of course they have to get a nice planter to put them in! It was quite a lot of work, sawing the wood, screwing in the screws with the Dad’s screwing machine, but it succeeded quite well! Now it only has to get a nice and bright color, but that comes another time.

This afternoon Ruud came along with Kim and Roy and they all stayed for dinner. Also we have agreed to go together to Amsterdam on Queen’s day ....so cool man!

I just want to greet Grandpa Frans he was yesterday suddenly incorporated in the hospital. He became rather sick yesterday at Annette and Mark’s place, had a lot of pain in his stomach.... Grandpa..., get well soon!

Go upstairs.... bye… see you tomorrow!

Fireworks at the fair!

The push machine (coin pusher)....

This afternoon after we did some shopping we went for a hotdog at Ikea. Just when we left Ikea we run into Grandpa and Grandma who just came in….that was an coincidence!

Tonight we have been with Grandpa and Grandma to Mr. Wong (Chinese restaurant here in our village)... ooohhh… that was delicious! Dinner at Mr. Wong is always a small party....so nice!

Me gambling.....................................Lights at the fair!

After dinner (Grandpa also went along) we went to the fair here in our village.
At half passed 10 there would be very big fireworks. I have not seen much of that, I was gambling and it went so great so I didn’t have the time to watch the fireworks. That coin pusher is so exciting… it really is so cool man! I collected quite a lot of points which I could provide in for something beautiful. I chose a couple of little glass dolphins with a little light in it that looks pretty nice in my new show-case!

Now I go to bed, it has already been passed 11.00 PM.... pretty late man.... bye... see you tomorrow!

To the car wash!

Waiting in the car till it’s totally clean…....

Today at school nobody was talking about what happened to Jill’s father anymore …. But the newspapers are extra full with it, what a case …....

After school we went to Amsterdam to the car wash. That is so cool man! It was a full automatic one you had to drive the car in an alley, turn off the engines and it moves by it self through the car wash and passes by some water sprinklers and some sort of brushes with towels.. What a sound! But afterwards the result was really a brand new car….. beautiful man!

Go upstairs... bye... see you tomorrow!

To the fair!

The “Movie” at the fair in our village.....

This morning we finally had the traffic examination ……….. I have succeeded! Well done eh?

It only became today, however, a very crazy day at school.... At about 10.30 AM Jill from group 4/5 was obtained from her classroom; her father had been shot dead in his pub in Amsterdam this morning! Teacher Henk’s group 7/8 could not longer work, all the children were so devastated by this loss the entire day. Everyone in that class was so sad and immediately had to think of all people who had recently died in their families, fathers, Grandpa’s and Grandma’s... even the French lessons could not be continued, almost everyone was crying all day…...

It also was on TV the entire day, every hour at the news they showed the pub in Amsterdam where Jill's father was shot...... so awful man…....

This afternoon after school we have been with almost all the children from my class to the village fair, which was fortunately very nice... just a little gambling! There is one thing at the fair which is so scary …..it goes around and completely turns you upside down, it’s called “the Movie”... so very scary man, I won’t never ever go in that think, no way!

Go upstairs... bye ...see you tomorrow!

School socer and the fair!

Watching our soccer school team.....

Tonight after dinner we went to the soccer field to watch our school team play.
It was a nice game and they won with 9–0, well done eh?

After the game we went to the fair which is beside the soccer field for a few days. Woooouuuuhh...... I like those sliding coin machines so much, their so cool. I won a lot of coins and a lot of points …... 2500 points. I eventually won a beautiful glass fiber lamp. That’s so cool man! It lightens up in different colors.... and is so beautiful in my room... really too crazy!

It’s pretty late already …. Go to bed… Tomorrow we have the traffic exam at school…...ooooohhhhh….. so exciting! Bye …see you tomorrow!

Collecting old stuff!

Cleaning bicycles....

Mark told me today that his father is making a market stall for Queen’s day. Mark will sell all old stuff he doesn’t need anymore at the free market here in our village. He asked me if I will go and sell old stuff too, so that we maybe can go together. I think that is so cool selling old stuff together! Mom said that I may go but not all day, she always wants to go to Amsterdam in the afternoon where it is one big party all Queen’s day long!

I immediately went to the barn to take a look if we have old stuff which I can sell at that day. Dad said that I can sell my 2 old bicycles. On the photograph I’m cleaning the 2 bikes so they look more beautiful and they are easier to sell that way and I can ask more money for them. Can’t wait till its Queen’s day ………

Easter!

Grandpa toasting with his champagne cocktail!

Ehhhh… eeehhh.. at last the Internet connection works again... Yesterday and this morning the internet connecting was down most of the day!

Sunday morning, 1st Eastern day Grandpa Frans came over to us to celebrate the Easter days with us. I got a very nice chocolate Easter egg from him, so cool man!
At noon after the brunch, other Grandpa and Grandma also came over and they stayed also for dinner. It was a real party! I had made a nice first course of smoked salmon with egg and Dutch shrimps; thereby we had a champagne cocktail with a strawberry.... mmmmm... that was so nice!
Afterwards we had fondue... That is always so nice!

This morning after breakfast we have been to the Praxis (garden centre) to buy some spring plants, we bought a lot …... Afterwards we have brought Grandpa Frans home. Grandpa had a little problem with his new TV. There was a line and some text across the TV screen which he couldn’t remove. Grandpa and Dad read all the instruction papers which came with that new TV, but they couldn’t find what the problem was and couldn’t get rid off the line and the text.
That problem wasn’t so difficult to solve … I just got the remote control and looked at all the buttons very good and saw one button with a line right through it and pressed that button a few times and gone was the line with all the text. Ppphhhhfff….. I don’t need a book to solve problems like that!

After we had brought Grandpa home I have put all the plants we bought for the garden in pots and have put some in my own little garden.... It really became so beautiful!

I’ll go upstairs, tomorrow it's school time again…. Bye …see you tomorrow!

Big fire at the dike!

Fire at the dike near our village......

This morning we have been to Hoofddorp (a village near to our village) to do some Easter shopping. When we returned home we saw a big black smoke hanging above our village not far from our house. There was a big fire at the dike …....

On our way home we passed the fire… it was on a farmers land where all caravans are standing for the winter. We stopped the car to take a look what was going on, there, however, where 5 caravans burning….... What a smoke! Happily the fire was rapidly out and the firemen only had to keep the caravans wet so it wouldn't go burning again. When we left there we had to take a detour, because the dike had been closed off. There where all water pipes across the road …...

It’s late already go upstairs …bye …see you tomorrow!

A computer day!

Webpet.nl

Today I was free from school... Good Friday!

At first this morning I watched TV in bed.. I was very lazy …..

Afterwards I have been at Habbo on the internet with Mark and switched from Habbo to webpet where I have my computer pet at www.webpet.nl. That’s also a very cool site. There can you choose one pet from a couple animals which you have to take care of. Give him food and buy some toys for him. To buy those things you have to earn money by playing games, you have to collect lots of points (money) so you can buy all of that stuff... this is so cool man!

It really was a very nice day, sitting almost the entire day behind the computer……

Go upstairs… see you..tomorrow!

Easter hoilidays!

Easter egg?

Today at school we had an Easter lunch... I, however had 8 sandwiches! It was very nice but tonight I was so fat up, could not eat one bite for dinner... ....

Now I have my Easter holidays!
This afternoon at home I finished my Easter tree, it has become rather beautiful. 1st Easter day Grandpa Frans will come to visit us. Mom asked me if I had an idea what we can make for dinner. Ask me and I will tell you what I like, that’s not so difficult!

I will make the first course, I’m not going to tell you all what that will be otherwise Grandpa knows it before its Easter. The main course will be something with sticks in a pan. Ooohh… I like that so much!

Go upstairs … bye …see you tomorrow!

Making an Easter tree!

Putting together an Easter tree ….....

This morning at school I got my mark for the French test we had yesterday …... and what do you think …... I got an 8 (B+)! I don’t believe it! Yesterday we had the test which we didn’t know of so we weren’t able to learn for it and nevertheless I got an 8!

This afternoon I have bought a very large vase here in our village at the Marskramer. In this vase I will make an Easter tree. But when I tried to put the branches in they completely disappeared in that very big vase. So I have to fill up the vase with something but I don’t know yet with what. Just see that tomorrow ….. However, I collected all the things I will put in the tree, the egg lights and other stuff …… Tomorrow I will finish the tree.....

Go upstairs… bye … see you tomorrow!

Woooouuhhh.... Google earth!

Google earth..............

Today at school we had teacher Jaap again….. So it was a big chaos again in the classroom… We also had a French test at teachers Henk’s class that we did not know about in advance, no one from my class knew anything about that! The other group 7, however knew it in advance so they learned the lessons at home. I think that is so dishonest, why don’t we ever hear it so we are able to learn the lessons at home?

Have you ever watched Google earth on the internet? That is so cool man! You can download the program for free on the site of Google, see the link above. I watched it so many times the last few days. You can see really almost everything on the ground in every country. I needed something for school about Spain.
Then I went to see Torremolinos in Spain and I even saw I the rock which we always passed when we walked up to Torremolinos on our Spain holidays …. This was so cool! I have also seen Barcelona and Parc Guell very clearly.... the well-known Gaudi bench! You all have to see it once it’s so great to see all the famous things all around the world!

Go upstairs … bye… see you tomorrow!

Yes, yes, yes I've got it!

My 175 pins pin!

Today at school our teacher was sick, so we had teacher Jaap. That was only making fun.... making a lot of noise, chat all the time and no working.... We haven’t done any seriously work all day… Tomorrow we’ll get teacher Jaap again, see what will happen tomorrow!

Tonight at the bowling league it didn’t go very well at first. My first game was, however, nice; the second one was bad and the third one I went like crazy! After a couple of balls I had already 70 pins! My last ball was a spare and had already 170 pins! That was really exciting I had to throw another ball because I threw a spare and I only had to throw 5 pins to get my 175 points pins pin …... and what do think happened? I threw another 8 pins and had a total of 178 pins now! Yes, yes I got it my 175 pins pin!!!!! Woooouuuuuhhhhh... this was so cool man... I was so happy!!!!!!
Isn’t it beautiful?

Playing marble games the entire afternoon!

Results of one afternoon playing marbles games…..

Today the weather was nice at last…..It wasn’t really warm but the sun was shining! Even Timmie played the entire afternoon in its rabbit run which I had put in the grass. He was so happy playing in the grass after such a long time. But he liked eating the grass the most and running back and forwards in his rabbit run.
Late in the afternoon when we put him back in his hutch, he was so tired he fell immediately a sleep.

I also have played outside the entire afternoon, played marbles games at the school yard. It was busy there... everyone was outside! I won a couple of beautiful marbles... Mom always likes the red and yellow ones…….. I think it's very cool too!

Go upstairs ... bye… see you tomorrow!

Nice dinner!

Tonight’s dessert....

Today we have been working the entire day in my room. We have been busy to put the 2 show cases together that we bought yesterday. In one show case I have put my boats which I have been collecting for several years now and in the other one I have put my beautiful things which I bought on our holidays. The lizard from Barcelona is one of those beautiful things, oohhh that’s really so beautiful in that show case!

Tonight we have had the neighbor dinner club and it was Dad’s turn to cook. He made some wonderful things. On the photograph you can see the dessert. He had made a special dessert for me an Easter bunny. It was very nice... but the most I liked the asparagus with ham and eggs... oooohh there so lovely, I can eat a whole scale of it, that’s so wonderful!

It’s late already.... go upstairs ... bye see you tomorrow!

Loading the stuff in the car ……

Tonight after the trumpet lessons we have been to Ikea to buy a couple of show cases for my room. It was busy there man! We waited for I don’t know how long at the at the pay-desk man..... But now I have to 2 beautiful show cases in which I can put my little stuff. We bought one for all the beautiful things that I have ever bought on our holiday and one for my boat collection. Tomorrow will put them together.... wooouuuhh... that will look very beautiful in my room!

Practicing the traffic school exam!

Learning, learning and more learning for the traffic school examination...

Tonight after dinner I sit down to learn for the traffic examination what we’ll having at school on 20th of April. For weeks we are busy at school making the proof exams just to practise.

That isn’t as easy as it looks like…. Some of the questions are quite difficult! On the site of 3VO you can see a complete exam with all the 30 questions just to practise, which is pretty funny....

Go upstairs ... Bye … see you tomorrow!

Watching tennis lessons!

Tennis club the new bridge...

This afternoon after school I have been with Mark to his first tennis lesson... That was cool man! For an hour I have watched how he and a couple of other kids got their tennis lesson. Maybe tennis is also something for me; it was so cool to see man! Perhaps Mom and Dad allow me to go on tennis as well, but they said that they will think it over and will let me know if so…..

Helping Dad to saw in the garden....

Tonight after dinner I helped Dad sawing a board. That has to become a new window sill for in the little new room. Over the weekend we will finish the room entirely. I will paint a frame of an old mirror. Mom will make the curtains, Dad will make the window sill and there must still come something on the walls of that room, it’s so dull there now….

Go upstairs... bye.. see you tomorrow!

Branches day!

Lopping trees and shrubs for branches day!

This afternoon after school I went to Grandma to bring her the figurines which Piet (the neighbor, Dutchmolds) just made for her. These are very small Maria figurines beautiful man!

The white one is approximately 7 centimeters (2.76 inches) high and the black one is about 6 centimeters (2.36 inches) high. Grandma was very happy with the figurines!

Just before dinner I started with lopping the trees in the garden. Tomorrow is branches day and you can put all the branches you want to get rid of at the greenness detritus in the end of our street (that’s only twice a year!). After dinner Dad and I went back into the garden to do some more lopping. On the photograph we are busy with a branch of a very large tree which hung entirely over the foot path along our house.

I just brought the last branches to the side of the street... there was a lot yet a complete pile of branches!

Go and play with Timmie for a while…. bye.. see you tomorrow!

Timmie back to his hutch!

Just fed Timmie ....

Today an ordinary day at school... , learning a lot and a TOPO test. This one was a difficult one! Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia with places such as Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Thessalonica.... but fortunately I made it very well, I got a 10! (A)

Tonight after the bowling I played with Timmie in the living room for a while….. Unfortunately he had to go back to his hutch ... such a pity!

Cutting down a tree!

The tree which stood in our front yard…......

This morning Dad and I have put the cupboard and the bed together in the little room which we are redecorating. The little room is almost finished now, except for the curtains and some little things which have to become on the wall. It has become beautiful man!

This afternoon I did some garden work. I have cut down a wild tree which was growing out of the blue in our front garden, we never planted it there. It was a tall one, I think, however, 5 meters high! Fortunately the trunk wasn’t very thick yet. Nevertheless I had to saw very hard to get it down!

Just look at how high that tree was, it wasn’t even possible to get the whole tree on the picture!

Go upstairs.... bye… see you tomorrow!

Making a new floor!

Dad and I busy making a wooden floor in the little room on the front side of our house…….

This afternoon we have bought all the things we needed for the little room we are redecorating. We bought a wooden floor, a cupboard and a bed.

When we got home Dad and I immediately started with the constructing of the wooden floor. That was easy man! You had to click the parts only into each other. It really was so cool man! I clicked all parts into each other with a little cube and a hammer, was a very nice job. On the photograph we are busy pasting the skirting on the floor.

It becomes a very beautiful little room! Go to bed now, it’s already terrible late... bye… see you tomorrow!
