Halloween!

Halloween-lights in our living room….....

Tonight was on the news that it is Halloween today. We however, do have some Halloween-lights hanging over the cupboard, but further on we don’t do anything about Halloween. However there was on the TV tonight that in some parts of the Netherlands there are more people every year who do celebrate Halloween. There are really children who go by all the doors in their neighborhood to get sweets, but not in our neighborhood….

Our cupboard with the Halloween-lights on it….....

Aaacccch.... no Halloween... but we’ve got Saint Nicolas. The Saint Nicolas programs on the TV have started again; the Saint Nicolas club is every morning on TV again, which is pretty nice!

Go and play with Timmie and Bo for awhile…. bye….see you tomorrow!

Holidays are over!

Reading the newspaper with Dad….....so cool man!

Today I have been to school again the fall break is over. We immediately at our first day at school got a new TOPO, we’ve to learn a part of Asia…. ooohhhh so difficult man!

This afternoon when school went out, Mom was waiting there with Bo. Man he run through my entire class room... he loved it! Of course he did get a lot of attention and liked that very much!

Tonight when Dad was reading the newspaper Bo jumped up on Dad to see what he was doing and it looked as if he was reading the newspaper as well. He went from the left to the right with his head, so cool man…. Go upstairs..... bye…see you tomorrow!

Playing soccer!

Participating with the big guys…...

Today was a very quiet day. I played a lot with Bo and I did read quite a lot, because in a couple of weeks I have a new book discussion at school.

This afternoon I played outside with all the kids from our neighborhood and we played a little game of soccer. Bo was crazy about that ball! Before we even noticed it he was playing along with the ball…. It’s so cool to see that tiny little dog playing with that huge soccer ball! He loved the game, so cool man!

Hoooooo... what a huge ball, but I’ll have to play along!

Will go and make a little tour with Bo outside….bye see you tomorrow!

So tired...

Bo has fallen asleep......

This morning when I woke up at 8.30 AM I heard Mum downstairs playing with Bo...
He slept through the entire night and was very much awake and only wanted to play games … Everything was great , running through the living room, getting much cuddles and having breakfast, in fact he wanted everything at the same time, but that wasn’t possible…..
This afternoon he suddenly fell asleep on the rug in the living room…..

In the afternoon I walked outside with him quite a lot. At first he didn’t understand what it all was about and didn’t want to go out at all. Later on he loved it and even started to run.

Bo is already asleep, and I’ll go to bed as well….bye…see you tomorrow!

Bo home at last!

Bo is tired... but also wants to play.......

This morning we left the camping ground at 10 AM to pick up Bo at the farm. Man... he was even sweeter than he was on Wednesday....

In the car he did not know where to look first, but he liked the big trucks the best! But after a while he fell a sleep in Mam’s lap…...

Half hour later he woke up and was a little sad…he started to cry. I think that he missed his mummy and his little brothers, but finally he fell a sleep.

When we arrived home I immediately went to get Timmie just to let them get used to each other. Bo liked Timmie very much but Timmie thought it was all rather strange.

Bo and Timmie playing....

Timmie is a sleep now and I go to bed as well....bye....see you tomorrow!

Last day in Twente!

Sitting outside in front of our caravan....

Today the weather was great so we spend our entire day outside. We have been to Oldenzaal and Hengelo. When we returned at the camp-site we had a drink outside in front of our caravan and I played a little with my football on the green just in front of our caravan.

Nice play with my ball......

Afterwards we played a game of skittles.... Yes we played skittles! We thought that there would be a bowling alley at the camp-site but it turned out to be a skittles alley. That is something completly different than bowling man! The ball is much smaller and there are 9 pins instead of 10 at the bowling..... it really was rather strange man, but very nice!

The Skittles alley at the restaurant on the camp-site....

Now I will stop writting because I must pack my things because tomorrow we are leaving Twente. But before we go home, at last we will pick up Bo at the farm! Exciting man! Bye....see you tomorrow!

This is Bo!

The left one is Bo..............

Monday we sat down the computer to see if there were little Jack Russel's for sale in the area where we are right now and we found a few young ones.

So we went to see a couple of Jack Russel puppy's on a farm just a few miles from here. Man they were so sweet! Brinta (the mother dog) gave birth to 4 puppies but 2 of them were sold already. We could choose between these two. We have chosen one of them and it had to be the left one.

Man he is so sweet! It is a male and born on September 9th and so he is turning 7 weeks this weekend. Friday morning before we will leave Twente (the east part of the Netherlands) we can pick Bo up at the farm, I can't wait till than! Bo we're coming!

See you later!

Lego-World!

Entrance Lego-World... IJsselhallen in zwolle.....

This morning we left early to get in Zwolle because it was a rather long drive, almost one hour.

When we arrived in Zwolle we immediately went to the Jetix hall where all artists would perform. That was really cool man! All well-known artists of Jetix were there, Kim Lian, Sita, Brace and Brothers Ko, so cool!

After the show you could get a signature of the artists, here I am (seen from the back) with my card in my hand to ask Brace for a signature, so cool man!

Brace taking my card to sign......

Here a photograph of Kim Lian with her band...

Here the Ko Brothers.....

Tubbergen!

Me behind my laptop in our caravan...

This afternoon we arrived in Tubbergen in the Achterhoek, Twente (east part of The Netherlands) near the German border. Man it is beautiful here! The caravan is large!

Our caravan in the dark..... The photograph was taken 5 minutes ago!

Soon after we arrived I found out that there is a free internet here at the camping. You only had to type in somethings about yourself and it all worked, great eh?

Tonight we went out for dinner in the little village Tubbergen in a very nice restaurant. I had a very large escalope.... It was so big it was almost to big for my plate....... mmm ...it really was delicious!

I go to bed now, tomorrow we're going go to zwolle to the IJsselhallen to see Lego-World.....bye...see you tomorrow!

Rain.....

Everything is wet....

This afternoon I went with a couple of kids from my class to the football club here in our village. And we played a nice game of soccer on imitation grass.

Later this afternoon it suddenly started to rain and now it seems like it’s never going to stop raining. Yes... the autumn holidays, it's always raining then!

I’ll stop blogging now, I’ll have to pack my suitcase because we’re leave for a few days, were going to the forest tomorrow. ... I don’t know when I’ll be able to write on my blog again, but if there is somewhere a computer with internet on it I certainly will write a few words…see you later!

Watching Lucky Ajax!

Simon Tahamata....

This afternoon Mark and I’ve been to the football club here in our village. Mark had to play first with his team. Later on there was a match of Lucky Ajax against the club of our village. There are playing a lot of old Ajax players in the Lucky Ajax team. Here above on the photograph you can see Simon Tahamata. It was rather cool to see all those old players but of course Lucky Ajax won from our club.

Go and play with Timmie for a while….bye…see you tomorrow!

Worked on my essay the entire afternoon!

Book about computers....

This afternoon after lunch I immediately started to work on my essay about computers. Yesterday we suddenly were told by the teacher that we have to hand in the rough copy on Thursday....

Man it was really hard to do. I worked on the essay the entire afternoon and also after dinner up till 8.30 PM I worked hard. Now I’m really tired ….... but it’s finished and I’m so happy about that!

Go to my bed and have a good sleep…. bye…see you tomorrow!

Almost the autumn break!

The forest will be beautiful by now, it’s really autumn....

Today at school the teacher told us that we have to hand in the rough copy of our essay this Thursday and that just before the autumn holidays starts...... pppffffhhhh... man that really is to soon! That will be a bad afternoon tomorrow, just working very hard! I think that is really imposable to do! Even if I get that rough copy ready, I still have to work pretty hard in the autumn holidays to get the whole essay finished. That’s not very nice to do in my holidays!

Next week in the autumn holidays we go to visit the forest… ... that will be beautiful, all the trees are turning red by now! I’m really looking forward to see that…......

Go and watch some TV ….bye …see you tomorrow!

History canon!

Tonight’s Parool (newspaper)...

Tonight there was on the news that there comes a History canon at every school in the Netherlands. What is a canon? It’s a poster and on it there are the 50 most important things that happened in the Netherlands. It starts at 3000 before Christ with the Hunnebedden (Megalithic tombs) and the last picture is the Euro.

That canon has been made because they say that the children know too a little about the history of the Netherlands and that has to change. For this reason there has been created a poster with the 50 most important things of the Dutch history. I’m so curious when that poster will arrive at my school……...

Go upstairs....bye…see you tomorrow!

What a construction work!

The wall…..

Today Dad and Piet were very busy building the wall in our front gardens.
At first they had to build a wooden construction work of some wooden piles to be able to build a nice straight wall. Man what a job that was…....

I played outside today but I was also very curious how it all would come out so I came by to watch so now and then. I think it really becomes a beautiful wall!

Go and watch TV for a while ….bye ….see you tomorrow!

Jippe in our garden!

Jippe playing with the ball…...

This afternoon when we returned home from the garden centre Mark and I went to his neighbor to ask if we could take a walk with Jippe and it was all right. So we went to my home to show Jippe to my mother.

Then Mark had to go because he and his parents are going to the soccer game Ajax against Groningen in the Arena in Amsterdam (the Ajax stadium) tonight.

When Mark left I went on playing with Jippe in our garden. He liked Timmies ball really very much! After that I brought Jippe home because he had to be home at 4.45 PM. To bad…... ooooh..... I really would like to have a dog like that……

Go upstairs....bye…see you tomorrow!

New trumpet!

It really plays so cool!

This afternoon I could hardly wait till it was time to go to my trumpet lesson, I was so curious about that new trumpet which I would get this evening...

Well I’ve got it and its cool man! It is not a new one but it plays much better than the other one which I had from the music club. Everything goes so nice and smooth and it sounds completely different.

After the lesson I played at home a little piece of the new part we got “the final countdown”... so cool man! It’s such an easy trumpet to play……

Go upstairs....bye…see you tomorrow!

Playing with Jippe!

Jacket Russel puppy......

This afternoon after lunch Mark and I went to one of his neighbor’s, to play with the 3 month’s old Jack Russel puppy. That is such a nice doggy when you arrive there in front of their house the little puppy immediately appears in front of the window with its paws against the window, because he is so glad to see you.

The Mrs. was sick at home so then she asked us to take Jippe out to the cycle-racing track to play there with him. Man he liked that so much!

When we brought him home we have played with him in the garden for awhile, but then he started digging the ground and became entirely dirty and had to have a bath afterwards!
It really was great playing with Jippe, I think that we will do that more often!

Tonight after dinner I have cleared my homework book. It really was a mass, everything was in the wrong place and I when I had to have my homework for that day I couldn’t find it.

Putting everything in my homework book again.

I did put organizer sheets in it with the subjects written on it and now is everything pretty organized.

The organizer sheets....

Go and watch TV for awhile......bye...see you tomorrow!

Delivering the newspapers!

The Westerpost …..a local weekly newspaper.......

Today the weather was great so I just played outside all afternoon.
Later on in the afternoon I have helped Niels delivering the Westerpost, we did more than 180 papers. I still think it’s a great job to do.

Tonight after dinner I played outside again, everyone was still outside. Man it seemed like a real summer night. It was today 22 C (73F)! Strange it was to see that it became dark at 7.15PM, which was very crazy!

Go and watch some TV ….bye…see you tomorrow!

Finished Charlie!

Sjakie (Charlie as he is called in English) and the chocolate factory in Amsterdam......

This afternoon when school went out I have immediately started reading my book Charlie and the chocolate factory, it’s so exciting man. Late in the afternoon I finished it.

When Dad came home he told me that there was this man at his work who stopped worked there a year ago because he wanted to start a real chocolate factory like Charlie’s chocolate factory in Amsterdam. It had to become a real entertainment park with a lot of chocolate, chocolate fountains and small boats which sail through the canals which are filled with chocolate and where people can eat chocolate the entire day.

The entertainment-park will be built in Amsterdam (near the central station in Amsterdam by the harbor) in a tunnel which is built someday but is never used. Here above you can see a picture as it will look like when it’s finished in 2009…..cool eh? Seems, however great, I’m crazy about chocolate, so when it’s finished…..

Go upstairs... bye…see you tomorrow!

Reading, reading and more reading!

Sjakie and the chocolate factory....

Just reading in bed……. I must finish this book rather quickly because there will be a book discussion in a few weeks and others have to read it as well. But that does not matter it’s a great book, go on reading now….bye…see you tomorrow!

The first bricks

The bricks under the ground........

This afternoon Dad and Piet laid the first bricks for the wall in our front garden. That is just the first bed that soon will be under the ground and you can see those bricks no longer. Behind this wall there comes the refuse bin when the wall is ready.

Today at last the weather was great so I played outside the entire day and of course I watched Dad and Piet very often building their wall.

My dessert …… beautiful eh?

Tonight after dinner we had a nice dessert. Ice cream and all over it, melted chocolate. Then I did put some whipping cream on top of it……man that is so delicious……....mmmmm....so great.

Go and play with Timmie for awhile….bye…see you tomorrow!

Animal’s day!

Mark playing with Timmie…..

This afternoon after lunch Mark came along to give Timmie his present. Timmie loved his corn bar, the ball with the bell he thought it was a rather strange thing. He ran against the bell and it made a noise, he was al little bit scared by it….... A few moments later he like the ball after all.

Then we have played a rather long time with Timmie in the living room. He liked it all very much….. It was a nice animal’s day...

After playing with Timmie we have gone to Mark's house and we played there for awhile.

I go upstairs and read in my book for awhile ….bye…see you tomorrow!

Hijacking is over!

The Turkish plane...

This morning I heard on the news that the hijack of the Turkish plane is fortunately over. There were no 2 hijackers on board of the plane but 1. The Turkish man was no Moslem anymore but he became a Christian and he wanted to ask the Pope if he could prevent him from the liability to the military in Turkey. Man... how crazy can a person be...

Fortunately it’s all over now…

Later!

Plane hijack in Italy!

There are 107 people in that plane.......

Tonight I heard on the news that there is a plane hijack in Italy right now. Two Turkish men who want to protest against what the Pope said a couple of weeks ago concerning the Islam and they don’t want the Pope to come to Turkey in November. Now is the plane standing on an airport in Italy and there are 107 people on board and nobody knows what will happen to them.

Airplane in Brindisi....

Hope it all ends well…...

Laika between the stars….... the kid’s book week present 2006!

Tonight the children's book week starts. This year it’s all about animals and tomorrow it’s also animal day! At school the children’s book week is always a cool period. We always have the project that we call the red wire. We always have to read a lot of books in that period and do nice games. This year we have to do a small book discussion with the four of us and we have chosen the book Sjaki and the chocolate factory. I’m reading the book right now and it’s a cool book man!

This afternoon I have been with Mark to the centre of our village to buy something nice for Timmie because it is animals day tomorrow. We went to the garden centre and we bought a little ball where you can put hay in and there is a little bell on it. We also bought a corn bar because Timmie loves corn bars, but then a super bar, verrrrry big! These things we will give Timmie tomorrow after school is out, he will love it!

Go and read for awhile in my book Sjaki and the chocolate factory... bye…see you tomorrow!

They are demolishing the school!

The windows of my classroom.......

This morning when we came to school we saw that so many things were demolished. They had thrown stones threw 2 windows in our classroom, the climbing apparatus at the school yard was entirely broken and there had been a little fire in the middle of the schoolyard…. Man what a big mass! Who does something like that? That isn’t clear of course….

This afternoon when school got out, we heard a fire-brigade was coming our way and it finally stopped just behind our school. Mark and I went after it to see what was going on. There was a fire behind the cycle-racing track; they had set the storage on the backside of the canteen of the racing-track on fire…....

Just watching the fire-brigade….

Later on there came 2 police-cars…...

The storage of the canteen behind the cycle-racing track......

When the fire-brigade was ready they let us have a look at the place the fire was, it was all black and smelling man…....... The damage was not very big but nevertheless, again who does something like this?

In fact it was a rather strange day today, so many things were demolished, it seems like there is a couple of demolishers having a great time…......

Go and play with Timmie for awhile…bye…see you tomorrow!
