Storm in The Netherlands....This morning there already was a big storm and on TV they called out a weather alert again (last week there was one as well!)
This morning there was a tree just beside our school that went down by the storm, quite near the window of our classroom. The tree just missed our window!
When I went home for lunch I saw in our garden that the roof of Timmies hutch was off by the wind! Man, I was so lucky that Timmie still was in his hutch. Fortunately I was at home with Mark, so we have put Timmie with his hutch in the barn.
Bo was totally upset. He was barking very loud, I heard him bark when I was still outside our home! I could hardly calm him down.
This afternoon when I returned home from school BO was still upset, and he still is constantly running back and forwards along the big window in our living room and is crying all the time…This is so pitiful man!
Later this afternoon Mark, Romay and I went to the bowling, just to practice for next Tuesday when we are having the school bowling tournament. Yes, we have to practise, the triple X, that’s us! After the bowling we went to my home and played with Bo for awhile and Romay stayed and had dinner with us.
The triple X.....
Man, Grandpa and Grandma just called us for Schiphol (Amsterdam airport). They arrived at Schiphol this morning at 10.00AM because they would fly at 13.00 PM for their vacation to Thailand. Now in the meantime it’s 08.00PM in the evening and they are still at the airport. Grandma was secretly calling us from the plane. They are still waiting already for 3 hours in the plane to leave Schiphol!!!!
There is just one runway in use at Schiphol and the pilots don’t want to take off, they say that there is too much wind and that it’s too dangerous to leave now......... Man, that’s really annoying, all that people in that plane will be very fed up.....
Now the wind is blowing very, very hard, man you won’t believe it! All the programs on TV are canceled and there is only extra news concerning the storm. Man it really is a mass over here! The central station in Amsterdam is closed, there is not one train leaving in the entire country! Everywhere trees are falling down and roofs of the houses are blown away…....bbbbrrrrr..... it really is spooky!
Oh... I hear just right now that Dad saw on the teletext that Grandpa and Grandma’s plane just left at 8.20 PM ………… he... he.... at last!
Go upstairs… I hope I will get some sleep tonight, man the wind is making such a noise… bye…see you tomorrow!
