State Opening of Parliament! (Prince's Day)

The case of Prince's Day....

Today it was Prince’s Day (The Queen reads the Speech from the Throne. It explains all the government’s plans for the next year) and it was the first time that we were not allowed to watch the Queen’s Speech at school… it was a pity!

So I watched the evening news. It was rather funny to see that there were a lot of people that almost fell asleep when the Queen was reading her Speech from the Throne. Even Princess Maxima almost fell asleep......

It was also rather funny when afterwards a reporter asked some ministers a few questions about what the queen had said in her Speech concerning a couple of very important statements... Almost nobody could say what that was.... Doesn’t that proof it was deadly dull?
