8.00 PM Remembrance of the dead!

That’s me placing my flowers at the monument….....

Tonight after dinner at half passed 7 we have driven to the village centre of our village for the Remembrance of the Dead. We arrived at approximately 7.40 PM at the monument and there were already a lot of people. We go every year to the monument where they have shot dead 10 men in World War II, but there were never so many people as there were tonight, it was so busy!

There were this year 4 girls who made music and 1 man who played the Last Post on his trumpet. After the 2 minutes of silence the Loco Mayor put down the flower wreath.

The Last Post..........................................My flower piece…

Immediately after that I got permission to put my flower piece together with the man from the May the 4th and 5th corporation at the monument.

At the end the 4 girls played the National Song “Het Wilhelmus” and everyone sang along, that was very beautiful all those people who sang out loud.

Everyone went home…....

It was a very beautiful ceremony….

Go upstairs… bye ….see you tomorrow!
